For years Candace Cameron Bure, aka DJ Tanner, became a staple in the American home as she grew up in a “Full House” of drama, laughs and family fun. But after a ten-year hiatus from the lights and action, Cameron has just recently come back to the small screen to star in the ABC family series “Make It or Break It”. And for the record, don’t expect her to stray from her strong Christian values for the sake of showbiz.
"I'm thrilled to be announcing the pick-up of our latest hit, 'Make It or Break It.' This show just roared out of the gate with its smart mix of rivalry and romance," says Paul Lee, ABC Family president. "Our Millennial audience just loves its great cast and addictive plotlines, and like our viewers, I can't wait to see what happens next."
The show will continue airing its first 10 episodes through the summer and will return with 10 new episodes in the first quarter of 2010.
The drama is averaging 2.1 million viewers per episode, making it ABC Family's second-highest rated original series of all-time. "Make It or Break It" has been winning its time slot among female teens and finishing as cable's top show among females 12-34.
"Better known for playing DJ Tanner on Full House (she was introduced to her husband by costar Dave Coulier!), she took a hiatus from acting during her 20s to focus on her number-one priority: her family...."
